Commercial General Liability
The Commercial General Liability (CGL) policy is the most basic type of commercial insurance and is limited to liability claims of bodily injury or property damage. Typically, the policy provides coverage for accidents on your premises or at your customer’s location that may have been caused by ownership of the property, manufactured operations, contracted operations, sale or distribution of your products or the operation of machinery, as well as specific professional services.
Bodily Injury
No business owners like to think that a product or service provided by their company could injure or even kill someone. However, it's comforting to know if the company is ever held legally responsible for such an injury, sickness or disease, your policy will indemnify the affected person or organization.
Property Damage
Regardless of how careful you or your employees are, your company may find itself in a situation where your business does damage to someone else's property. In those situations, the policy will provide for the repair of the damage or offer compensation to the claimant.
